Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind enjoyed a solid campaign for the club last season but he will be hoping to push on next term.
Blind’s versatility proved to be a useful tool for Louis van Gaal and he excelled in a number of roles.
The Dutchman usually occupied a defensive midfield position for Man United but arguably his best run in the side was at left-back during the club’s superb six-game winning streak over March and April.
Blind arrived back at Carrington on Monday following some time off and his new boots were there to welcome him:
United are reportedly looking at the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin and there is a question mark over whether or not Blind will keep his place in the starting XI if the pair are brought in.
However, it is safe to say that the 25-year-old will be vital if United are to be successful on all fronts next season. Title-winning campaigns are built on the back of versatile, reliable players like Blind and van Gaal will be fully aware of this.
