Memphis Depay is immediately looking forward to Manchester United’s US pre-season tour having returned from the summer break.
The 21-year-old completed his first training sessions as a Man United player yesterday on the first day of what will be a tough re-introduction to fitness in order to give the squad a base level of fitness ahead of the tour.
Memphis himself is no stranger to hard work but he will have to get stuck in at the deep end if he is going to make the most out of his debut campaign at the club.
The US tour will be a real eye opener for Depay. Most new signings say the same thing after going away with the club for pre-season: they didn’t expect it on such a sheer scale. Support for United abroad really is phenomenal and that will always be one of the highlights for any player, to connect that closely with fans.

Memphis might be excited about the tour but fans are looking forward to the opening game against Club America just as much, least not because it will be the first time the Dutch winger will play for the club.
Will he be able to settle down straight away at United or will Depay need more time? We’ll all find out soon enough.
