David de Gea has returned to Manchester United training this week and re-joined his current team-mates.
News of a possible De Gea transfer to Real Madrid has been the prominent story for Man United fans this summer and many never expected to see him in red ever again.
However, with Ed Woodward digging his heels in over the terms of any deal which sees De Gea join Real Madrid, no agreement has been reached yet.
The 24 year old has been involved in plenty of speculation this summer and while some believe his move to Real Madrid is getting closer, there are reports the Spanish giants have began looking elsewhere for their Iker Casillas replacement.
Casillas is reportedly set to move to Porto in the coming days which could open up the possibility of Real Madrid swooping for Dea Gea, who has just one year left on his contract, but with pre-season less than a week away things will have to move very fast.
United’s interest in Sergio Ramos has no doubt played a vital role in the stalled negotiations and that’s because Real Madrid don’t want to sell him, much like United want to keep De Gea.

Maybe that emotional rollercoaster will make him realise that Manchester is where he should stay…
