Manchester United agree deal to sign Mattteo Darmian from Torino

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Torino right-back Matteo Darmian.

Gianluca di Marzio reports the 25-year-old right-back will join for €18m plus €2m in bonuses and put pen to paper on a four-year contract.

Local newspapers in Turin and the Italian national press are also all saying the deal is in place for Darmian to move to Old Trafford is now in place.

An official announcement by Man United is expected tomorrow but by all accounts, it is a done deal.

United fans will be absolutely delighted at how swiftly a deal for Darmian has been finalised and it will really strengthen the squad in a position which was a considerable weak point for all of last season.

Darmian will come straight into the starting XI and improve United’s team immediately because he is a big upgrade on Antonio Valencia in terms of what he can offer in the right-back position.

United have already announced that Memphis Depay will be officially unveiled in a press conference on Friday but there is now a distinct possibility that will also be where Darmian is unveiled as well.
