Man United transfer round-up: Matteo Darmian deal is done, Robin van Persie closing in on Fenerbahce move

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

For the last 72 hours, it has all been about Torino’s right-back Matteo Darmian and the latest reports say Man United have now agreed terms with the Italian.

Gianluca di Marzio says the 25-year-old right-back will join for €18m plus €2m in bonuses on a four-year contract, a relatively low figure when it comes to new signings at United.

Next up, Robin van Persie‘s future has been a big point of discussion and it looks like he will be on his way to Fenerbahce, with only minor details standing between him and a move to the Turkish side.

After two seasons where he wasn’t able to reach the dizzy heights of a stunning debut campaign, Van Persie may very well be moving on to pastures new.

To finish, an update on the future of David de Gea comes from El Confidencial who say Real Madrid will pay €40m to sign him on a deal worth €30m over six years.

That’s a much higher amount than anybody thought United would get for De Gea given that he only has one year left on his contract but with pre-season only a few days away, is there time for any deal to be finalised before United leave for USA if he is indeed leaving?
