Fenerbahce have officially confirmed they are in talks with Manchester United over the signing of Robin van Persie.
The 31-year-old is believed to have undergone medical examinations in England today ahead of a move to Fenerbahce and a fee of £4.7m has already been agreed between the clubs.
Pending a successful medical, Van Persie’s exit could well be confirmed this weekend.
Van Persie will be joining Nani at Fenerbahce after the Portuguese midfielder completed his move to the Turkish side earlier this month.

In total, Fenerbahce would have paid approximately £10m for both Nani and Van Persie which is potentially a fantastic deal for them if they can adapt to the Turkish League and find their old form.
Van Persie’s exit was on the cards this summer ever since he insisted he wanted to play regular first-team football ahead of Euro 2016 and that seems to have been the driving force behind his move.
He’ll leave great memories behind at United after one of the best ever debut seasons any player has had at the club which made his £24m transfer worth every penny.
