Matteo Darmian has revealed it is a “dream” to join Manchester United as he closes in on a move to Old Trafford.
Transfer speculation surrounding Darmian had been minimal this summer but Man United have intensified their pursuit of the Italian in recent days.
The player himself admitted he is “very excited” about the transfer and thanked Torino fans for their support while he was at the club.

“I’m very excited, we’ll face this new adventure. It’s a dream, I’m superstitious so I won’t say anything until the signatures, let’s wait,” Darmian said.
“I say thank you to Torino and their fans who have been great these years.”
It appears that Darmian’s transfer to United is now a formality and that the club will officially announce it soon.
The 25-year-old is capable of playing at right-back and left-back and has earned himself a solid reputation in Italy following a fine campaign for Torino. However, his arrival may spell the end of Rafael’s time at the club as Galatasaray have reportedly indicated their interest in him.
