The presentation, at the Allianz Arena around 2pm BST, will see around 70,000 fans greet the players ahead of the campaign but Schweinsteiger will not be there.
He is instead expected in Manchester in order to complete the formalities of a move to Old Trafford.
It looks like the potential transfer is in it’s final stages and that Schweinsteiger will be a Man United player sooner rather than later.
The German World Cup winner is one of the most decorated players of his generation and he will bring a wealth of experience to Louis van Gaal’s side.
Wayne Rooney was often asked to play in midfield last term due to a worrying lack of depth so United fans are welcoming the news of Schweinsteiger’s impending arrival with open arms. If the club also sign Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, it would send a real statement of intent.
