Rumoured Manchester United target Dayot Upamecano has joined Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg from Valenciennes on a three-year deal.
The news will come as a surprise as Man United, Manchester City and Arsenal were all said to be in for the 16-year-old.
United had even reportedly shown Upamecano round their Carrington training ground but it looks like the club refused to match Red Bull’s offer.
It is disappointing to hear as Upamecano is considered to be a bright talent but perhaps it is the best move for the player in the long-term.

At 16, he needs to be playing football regularly and he will get more of an opportunity to do that at Red Bull.
It appears that United are focusing on established stars instead, with Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin the latest names to be strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford.
