Bastian Schweinsteiger has landed in Manchester by a private chartered jet and is set to undergo his Manchester United medical this evening.
A deal for the 30-year-old to join Man United has already been agreed with Bayern Munich and pending a successful medical, Schweinsteiger will then be free to complete his move.
With United’s squad flying out to USA tomorrow for the pre-season tour, Louis van Gaal will want a deal for Schweinsteiger to be pushed through this evening so he can be registered and leave with his new team-mates.
As there are no current injury concerns over Schweinsteiger, it should be a straight-forward medical and United fans will certainly be hoping there are no complications so that a deal can go through quickly.

It’s been a whirlwind 48 hours for United but it is showing no signs of slowing down. Schweinsteiger is now on the verge of completing his move to the club and Robin van Persie has landed in Istanbul to finalise his transfer to Fenerbahce.
This summer was always set to be an extremely busy window for United and Van Gaal has really shaken the squad up already but there is likely to be lots more movement as well.
