Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind has wished Robin van Persie the best of luck ahead of his imminent move to Fenerbahce.
Van Persie has completed a medical with the Turkish side and he flew out from Manchester on Sunday ahead of an official presentation on Monday.
Compatriot Blind thanked van Persie for his support while they played at United and wished him well in the next stage of his career:
Van Persie will be missed by United fans as he played a pivotal role in the club’s 20th Premier League title triumph during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in charge.
The striker was sensational that year but his performances have steadily declined since and there was a question mark over whether or not he would contribute next term. Instead, van Gaal is said to be keen on the likes of Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
