Manchester United’s new signing Morgan Schneiderlin treated fans to a midfield masterclass on his debut against Club America.
Schneiderlin was arguably United’s best player in the first half and notched the only goal of the game as the Reds ran out 1-0 winners.
The Frenchman dictated the play alongside Michael Carrick and put United after just five minutes with a brilliantly placed, looping header. Other than scoring Schneiderlin helped circulate the ball smoothly and was quick to shutdown the opposition any time they got near his area of hte pitch.
United fans were pleased to see the 25-year-old in the Reds midfield and the goalscorer was comfortably the brightest new signing on display in Seattle.
Morgan Schneiderlin treading on Michael Carrick's toes as the orchestrator. He's having fun.

Tackles, passes, interceptions and a goal to boot. Schneiderlin showing what he has got in his locker in this game, very rounded.

Morgan Schneiderlin is the player we have been waiting for years.. Darmian reminds me of Evra. He will cement that position for yrs to come

Schneiderlin the best in that half / Depay continuously looked to make things happen / Darmian a reminder that full backs can still defend.

Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger brings proper solidity. Love that we can partner them together or with Carrick and play another forward.

Result not important. 1-0 doesn't tell the story. Great from our new signings plus the youngsters. MOTMs Schneiderlin & Pereira. ?

Schneiderlin, perfect half. He's doing the business, and I'm excited to see him play alongside Bastian, that would be a wall hard to break.

United fans were delighted to have a solid, ball-playing midfielder again and Schneiderlin impressed in that role.
The new man proved his worth throughout the first half and United supporters will be hoping he can carry the same form into the start of the league season.
