Bastian Schweinsteiger is frustrated after being misquoted by the press about labelling Manchester United as the biggest club in the world.
The German midfielder was speaking to the press earlier this week and when discussing the support he had seen for Man United in the USA, he said we were a bigger club than Bayern Munich.
However, Schweinsteiger is angry after those quotes were then taken to suggest he said United were a bigger club overall than Bayern given the fact he spent 17 years with the German club.
Schweinsteiger better get used to being frustrated with the press because it certainly comes with the territory of being a United player and it won’t be the last time it happens.
Because of the time difference I was only able to respond now to the media reports: pic.twitter.com/Z4wF98rdNl

At the end of the day, both Bayern and United are European powerhouses of football and are huge clubs in their own rights but when it comes to global support, United are unrivalled.
It’s something which so many players have said after joining up with the team on a pre-season tour and that’s what Schweinsteiger has seen so far out in the USA.
