Bastian Schweinsteiger didn’t have an average start to his Manchester United career.
Within the space of seven days, he had: flown from Munich to Manchester, completed a medical, been unveiled as a Man United player, flown to Seattle, made his debut against Club America and flown to San Francisco for the next leg of the pre-season tour.
By all accounts, that’s a hectic way to start off a career at a new club but Schweinsteiger has enjoyed every minute of it so far.
The German midfielder has had a smile on his right from the start and although he left his boyhood club after 17 years as a player, he’s probably just happy not be a bit-part player anymore like he was under Pep Guardiola.

Schweinsteiger might have had a busy start to his career but it hasn’t even kicked into third gear yet.
Trips to California and Chicago are still coming in the next ten days, then there’s a short break before the Premier League kicks off against Tottenham Hotspur and soon after that United have their UEFA Champions League play-off to contend with.
This season is set to be all singing and dancing for United. With lots of new players in the team, Louis van Gaal will be determined to win every trophy available to him and won’t deal with anything less than 110% from his players at all times.
Put your seatbelt on this season because it’s likely to be one hell of a ride, no matter what happens.
