Ander Herrera thanks Manchester United fans for support in America

Ander Herrera has continued to endear himself to Manchester United fans in all corners of the world with his recent message of thanks to the American branch of United support.

Herrera played in the second half of his side’s 3-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes and appears enamoured by the far reaching influence Man United has and the level of support the club draws around the world.

The Spaniard is renowned for his glowing personality and has been described as a “fantastic” team-mate off the field but his skills on the field are not shabby either.

United defeated the San Jose Earthquakes in front of a crowd of 18,000 fans at the Avaya Stadium in San Jose. They are now undefeated in their opening two games of the preseason tour of North America.

United are one of the biggest football clubs in the world and use these tours as a way of exerting their branding power to fans in the United states.

While Louis van Gaal does not agree with the logistics of the tour, there is little doubt that the players get the chance to see first hand how big of a club they are playing for during these tours and it gives the fans a chance to see their favourite players in action.
