Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw impressed fans with a brilliant display against San Jose Earthquakes.
The left-back, who’s fitness was the centre of attention last summer, proved how far he has come in a year with a top drawer performance. Shaw was bursting up and down the left flank throughout the first 45 minutes.
The Englishman was equally effective at both ends of the pitch, making crucial tackles but also energetic overlapping runs. His pace seemed to create a whole host of chances for Man United in the first half.
Having had a difficult debut season at united, Shaw will be hoping this performance can help kickstart his campaign ahead of the new season.
Imagine Anderson going on a pre-season fitness training camp without being asked! Shows big difference in attitude with Shaw.

I like this year older version of Luke Shaw.

Shaw is up and down the pitch at the moment. Just put in a superb sliding tackle to win the ball back.

Yes, it's a pre-season friendly, but Luke Shaw looks in very good nick. #mufc

Shaw will be looking forward to starting afresh at United. After going on a pre-season training camp with Adnan Januzaj without being prompted by the club, it’s clear to see how determined he is to make the most of it and if his performance against San Jose is anything to go by, his work certainly looks to be paying off.
