Sir Alex Ferguson has joined up with Manchester United on the San Jose leg of their pre-season tour.
He’s at the Avaya Stadium tonight to see Man United take on San Jose Earthquakes in the second game of this summer’s tour and he was greeted to a rapturous applause from fans waiting outside the stadium to see the players.
Fergie knows all too well how global the support of United having been on enough pre-season tours to last a lifetime and it’s great to see him join up with the team to see them in action.
No doubt he’ll be sharing a glass of red with Louis van Gaal after the full-time kick-off. Maybe the pair will use the outside bar at the end of the stadium and join in with the fans.
