Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria could complete a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the next 48 hours, according to the Telegraph’s Mark Ogden.
Di Maria failed to board a flight to the United States on Saturday to join up with the Man United squad on their pre-season tour.
Instead, it looks increasingly likely that the Argentine will move to PSG, with a £45m fee reportedly agreed between the two clubs.
It will be a shame to lose Di Maria, particularly after he said he wanted to stay in order to prove himself next term, but those words look to have been nothing more than a way to appease fans seeing as he is closing in on an exit from the club.
Unfortunately, it looks like Di Maria’s family have been unsettled in Manchester since an attempted burglary on their home earlier this year.
The 27-year-old is a world-class player but he just hasn’t fitted into Louis van Gaal’s system and his philosophy.
Attention will turn to how United will spend the money they are getting for him, with Barcelona’s Pedro said to be high on the club’s list of targets.
