Memphis Depay once again put in an entertaining performance as Manchester united cruised to victory over Barcelona in Santa Clara.
The Dutchman played an hour in the No.10 role behind Wayne Rooney and struggled to get into the game early on. However, as Man United grew into the game, so did Memphis and he began to thrive with more space.
Memphis treated United fans to some brilliant trickery in between Barcelona’s midfield and defence and even turned Gerard Pique in the box to get a shot away.
The 21-year-old began to show signs of a promising link up with Wayne Rooney. The two of them showed a good understanding of each other’s games.
United supporters were delighted with their new signing who, in just three appearances, is already growing into a fan favourite.
Memphis to Rooney linkup now, and a Rooney shot saved. One of the best things pre-season has to be these two looking fresh! #DEVILSonTour

Early days but I think in Memphis Depay, @ManUtd have found one.

Memphis a little wasted in the No.10 role so far this game but great turn on the defender there in a tight space.

Beautiful from Memphis there to turn the defender. In a tight situation he made space for himself, love that.

Memphis will be hoping he can carry his good form into the start of the league season after impressing on tour. With United playing PSG on Wednesday, Memphis will look to end the tour on a high with another good performance.
