Fans’ view: Would you be happy if Pedro replaced Di Maria?

Manchester United have been linked with FC Barcelona forward Pedro and are reportedly close to agreeing a £22.8m deal to bring him to Old Trafford.

The Barcelona player is currently frustrated with a lack of regular game time and reports suggest Louis van Gaal wants to bring him in as a direct replacement for Angel di Maria, who is closing in on a move to Paris St Germain.

As Angel di Maria looking to complete a move to PSG it could be the perfect timing to sign the 27-year-old.

With that in mind, we asked fans on followers on Twitter if they’d be happy with Pedro replacing Di Maria in the squad.

Di Maria performed poorly last season and fans think he should be given the opportunity to show what he’s made of, but the Argentina midfielder has not joined United on their pre-season tour of America and Van Gaal has admitted he doesn’t know why.

By all accounts, it looks like Di Maria does not want to be at United and is pushing for a move.

If he is set to go, Pedro could potentially be a great replacement. He’s versatile, quick and is used to the possession based style of play which United are now using under Van Gaal.

Plus, the Spanish link-up between Mata, Herrera and Pedro could be deadly.

We want to know your view: would Pedro be a good replacement if Di Maria was to leave this summer?
