Timothy Fosu-Mensah is widely regarded to be one of the most exciting young talents at Manchester United and it is safe to say that fans were delighted when they heard he had signed a three-year professional contract at the club.
The Dutch teenager was one of the standout players for Man United’s U18s last season and has been pushed into the U21s during their pre-season this summer as a consequence of his great progression.
Fosu-Mensah came to the club as a centre-back but has flourished in a defensive midfield role at United thanks to his versatility.
The news of his deal got tongues wagging amongst the United faithful:

Of course, it is important not to put too much pressure on a young player too early in his career but there are high hopes for Fosu-Mensah.
Don’t expect to see Fosu-Mensah play for the first-team this coming season but if he can have a great year with the U21s, there is every chance he’ll break through next season and at the very least earn himself a place on tour.
