Luke Shaw produced one of his most impressive performances in a Manchester United shirt during the 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in Chicago.
Shaw, as he has throughout the pre-season tour, started at left-back for Louis Van Gaal‘s side and was hugely influential down the left-hand side. The Englishman’s overlapping runs caused huge problems for PSG and Man United were unfortunate not to profit from them.
Having worked hard on his fitness over the summer, Shaw looked like one of the sharpest players on the pitch, showcasing blistering pace with the ball at his feet. After strong praise from van Gaal in the buildup to the game, Shaw repaid his manager with a brilliant performance.
United fans and pundits were delighted to see their young full-back put in such a good display:
Shaw's overlaps are demonic.

Anybody else buzzing at how good Shaw looks on the pre-season tour? His pace is electric + overlapping runs are so dangerous.

Yorke: "Shaw seems to take two to three players out of play + that gives space to Young which is fantastic."

Luke Shaw, again, posing a real threat down the left. He's linking up really well with Pereira now.

Pre-season could not have gone much better for Shaw, who will be looking to nail down the left-back spot next term.
With the start of the new Premier League season not far away, the 20-year-old will hope his hard work this summer pays off and that he can go on to have a successful year.
