James Wilson has spoken of his “love” for the new Manchester United home kit.
Man United launched their first Adidas kit in 24 years last week, in a £750m deal that will see the German manufacturer produce the iconic red strip for the next ten years.
United’s first appearance in the new kit will be on the 8th August, when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in the first game of the new season.
Wilson revealed that he is very fond of the new shirt and that he is looking forward to wearing it.
“I love it. It not only looks nice, it feels nice. You’ve got to be comfortable in what you’re playing in. It feels nice and it looks good, so you look the part,” he said.
“It’s a difference within the club and there’s a freshness when you get a new kit. You feel different in a new kit and it’s whether you like it or not – I know I, and everyone else, will love it.”
Coaches at United are hopeful that next term will be a memorable one for Wilson, who is widely regarded to be an extremely hot prospect at Old Trafford.
With Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez United’s only other recognised strikers, Wilson will be hoping for more opportunities over the course of next season, with many fans believing he should be given the chance to make the No.9 spot his own.
