Manchester United officially announced the sale of Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday and it’s safe to say that the Old Trafford faithful will be glad to see the back of him.
Of course, the Argentine made a scintillating start to life at Man United following his £59m move from Real Madrid last summer.
But a combination of personal issues and injuries contributed to Di Maria putting in some wretched performances towards the end of the season.
His exit to France was coming but the way he went about it was totally unprofessional.

Having failed to board a plane to United’s pre-season tour last month, Di Maria went AWOL and Louis van Gaal admitted he didn’t know where he was.
As it happened, Di Maria was away in Doha completed a medical with PSG. While United had a huge talent on their hands, they have made the right decision in getting rid of a player who lacked the fight to make himself a success at Old Trafford.
