Gareth Bale’s agent has insisted that the Welshman will stay at Real Madrid and that he has no reason to leave Spain.
Reports this week suggested that Manchester United have had two £100m bids turned down for the player this summer.
Louis van Gaal is supposedly enamoured with the player but it would seem as though Bale is adamant that he will become a success at Madrid.
His goal seems to be winning a Ballon d’Or and he believes that his best bet of attaining such an award is to stay at Madrid.
Speaking about the rumours, Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett said: ”There is no situation. Why should he leave? There are rumours of men on the moon. That’s a saying.
“He is a star at Real. Why would he consider leaving them? He is very happy to be at the biggest club in the world.
“[Winning the Copa del Rey and Champions League] that’s just the start, and he will be the best player in the world. He wants to do that at Real.”
Bale has had a tumultuous time at Real Madrid having initially being hailed as their saviour when he scored a goal in the Champions League final that would ultimately lead the team to their tenth Champions League trophy.
However, he was booed for large parts of last season due to difficulties stemming from his relationship with Florentino Perez along with a myriad of other reasons. There was genuine belief at one point last season that he had one foot out the door.
Bale is still performing consistently and he has helped his national side push themselves up the world rankings. Regardless of all the speculation, it would appear that Bale is happy at Madrid and will remain there for the foreseeable future.
