Louis van Gaal confirms Manchester United have no injuries ahead of Tottenham Hotspur game

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that the team has no injuries ahead of the Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur but that Marcos Rojo is not match fit for the clash.

The news will be music to the ears of Man United fans after the squad was often ravaged by injury last season.

Rojo missed United’s pre-season tour of the United States due to passport issues and is still building up his fitness ahead of the new campaign.

His absence means that Daley Blind will line up at centre-back against Spurs as van Gaal likes a left-footed player in the left position.

It is a worry for United fans as Blind has looked suspect in the position but hopefully midfielders such as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin can offer him some protection.

Regardless, it is a relief to hear that United do not have injuries. If the team is to be successful this season, they will need as many players available as possible.
