Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has revealed that he wants to wear the No.23 shirt for the rest of his career.
Man United unveiled their squad numbers on Friday and Shaw had his changed from No.3 to No.23.
Meanwhile, Memphis Depay is United’s new No.7, Bastian Schweinsteiger has been given the No.31 shirt and Victor Valdes hasn’t been given a number at all.
Shaw was delighted with his new shirt as it feels the most “comfortable” for him to wear:

Shaw went through an injury plagued debut campaign at Old Trafford last term and he will be hoping for much bigger things this time around.
The young Englishman, who was one of the team’s standout performers on the pre-season tour, undoubtedly has the potential to become world-class. He should be his usual tireless self against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
