The 30-year-old, who shone last season, expressed his delight at signing his new deal and took time to thank the Old Trafford faithful after putting pen to paper.
Since displacing Angel Di Maria in the side last year, Young has gone from strength to strength.
The Englishman put in some brilliant performances last season and popped up with some crucial goals as well.
Delighted to extend my stay with this amazing club. Thanks to the staff, players and also, you, the fans, for your incredible support #mufc

Despite speculation that Young would not be offered a new deal, manager Louis Van Gaal has put his faith in him, giving him the option to extend his contract for an extra year when it expires.
Young’s stock has slowly risen amongst the fans since he joined in 2011. In spite of some indifferent performances during his United career, the winger’s passion has never been questioned.
It is obvious that he loves the club and it is a trait that has not gone amiss with United fans. With his new contract finalised, Young will hope to repay those supporters by bringing silverware to Old Trafford this season.
