Memphis Depay enjoyed a lively Premier League debut in the opening day victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Memphis helped Man United to their first win of the season with an eye-catching performance.
Starting in a No.10 role behind Wayne Rooney, the Dutchman showed United fans glimpses of his undoubted quality. Memphis was involved whenever his side were going forward and he linked up well with Wayne Rooney up front.
United fans and pundits enjoyed Memphis’ first competitive performance in a United shirt and made their feelings heard:
Memphis was one of the few sparkling things about that first 65 minutes of the PL this season.

Clear why LvG likes Memphis. Despite being 'maverick', makes darting covering runs just inside Shaw ever time we lose it!

Superb awareness from Memphis there. Shot looked on but he saw the gap and the pass into space. Love that!

The young forward produced some deft touches and provided the creativity that United needed on several occasions.
After scraping a win in the first game of their season, United and Memphis will be looking to push on to bigger and better things over the coming season.
