Bastian Schweinsteiger seems to be building a fantastic relationship with Manchester United fans.
The Germain captain and World Cup winner came on in place of Michael Carrick against Tottenham Hotspur, and was given a rousing reception by Man United fans on his Old Trafford debut.
Schweinsteiger became United’s third summer signing in July, in an exciting week which also saw the likes of Matteo Darmian and Morgan Schneiderlin join the club, and it hasn’t taken long for Schweinsteiger to adapt to his new settings.
The German international now seems completely at home as a United player and constantly uses social media in order to interact with fans.

Speaking after the game, Louis van Gaal paid particular attention to how well Schweinsteiger was received by United fans, which is unsurprising given the German’s history and achievements throughout the game.
One thing that remains to be seen however, is what role the ex Bayern Munich man will play for the team.
One thing that is for sure, is that alongside Carrick, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger, United also have the likes of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini, who possess skills that could be crucial if the club is to compete on all fronts this term.
