Besiktas set to make move for Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes

Turkish side Besiktas are considering making up a move to sign Victor Valdes this summer, according to AMK in Turkey.

AMK reports that Besiktas are in the market for a new No.1 thanks to the imminent departure of their current goalkeeper Cenk Gonen.

Valdes has been completely sidelined by Man United ever since Louis van Gaal‘s on the Spaniard where he says he had the wrong attitude for refusing to play with the U21s last year at certain points.

He was also spotted in Old Trafford watching the Tottenham Hotspur but instead of wearing his club suit as all other players around him did, Valdes wore a simple shirt and blazer, which is indicative of how fragile the current situation is.

Valdes’ exit from United is now considered inevitable and if he did move to Turkey, he’d be following in the footsteps of Robin van Persie and Nani who both joined Fenerbahce this summer.

It’s all a bit of a surprise how the Valdes situation has turned out at United but Van Gaal has taken a strong stance to make sure his position isn’t undermined by any player and he remains in total control at United.

Sounds like a certain Scottish manager we all know, doesn’t it?
