Confirmed starting XI: Manchester United vs Club Brugge

Manchester United: Romero, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Mata, Memphis, Januzaj, Rooney

Subs: Johnstone, Valencia, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Fellaini, Young, Chicharito

Louis van Gaal has named an unchanged XI for the Champions League playoff tie against Club Brugge at Old Trafford this evening.

Adnan Januzaj is included again after his game-winning goal against Aston Villa last time out, while Sergio Romero continues in goal in the absence of David de Gea.

Wayne Rooney 37

Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw make up the back four, with Michael Carrick and Morgan Schneiderlin in front of them.

Juan Mata, Memphis Depay and Januzaj are in the attacking positions and Wayne Rooney completes the line up despite criticism of his performance against Villa.

It is a strong lineup and one that should be more than capable of getting a positive result against Brugge. Victory is vital for United and they will be keen to get as many goals as possible ahead of the second leg in Belgium.
