Manchester United are in talks with Dynamo Moscow striker Alexander Kokorin over a move, according to the player’s representative.
Man United are looking for alternatives to Barcelona’s Pedro after missing out on the Chelsea-bound Spaniard.
They have reportedly turned their attention to Kokorin, who has scored 38 goals in 165 games since joining Dynamo in 2008.
Kokorin’s representative, Christophe Yutto, confirmed United, as well as Tottenham Hotspur, are interested in the Russian’s services.
“At the moment I’m working on a transfer for Kokorin. His services have interested Manchester United and Tottenham,” Yutto said.
“There is every reason to believe that the player will be at one of those clubs by August 31.”
United are currently in a vulnerable position when it comes to the transfer market following the breakdown in the Pedro deal.
Player’s agents are inevitably going to try and capitalise on the confusion surrounding United and it looks like this is the case with Kokorin. Who exactly United are looking at remains to be seen.
