David de Gea ‘infuriated’ with Louis van Gaal comments – report

Manchester United keeper David de Gea is ‘infuriated’ with Louis van Gaal’s assertion that he will not be sold this summer, according to AS.

Last week, van Gaal insisted that Man United “are not selling De Gea” despite strong rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

AS claim that De Gea was furious with these comments, leaving his already strained relationship with van Gaal in tatters.

The pair have reportedly not spoken in months and De Gea has been excluded from all of United’s matchday squads so far this campaign.

With only a matter of days left before the transfer window closes, it would be a huge sign of weakness if United were to let one of their best players leave this late on, especially if you consider Angel di Maria’s exit to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.

Letting go of both De Gea and Di Maria in one window would arguably undo all of the good work United did in bringing the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger to the club.

With Euro 2016 only a year away, De Gea would undoubtedly perform to his best if he remained at Old Trafford. United would be wise to keep one of the world’s best goalkeepers for another year as it could prove to be crucial in a Premier League title challenge.
