With the summer transfer window coming to a close, the future of Manchester United keeper David de Gea is still far from certain.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a number of months but Man United appear to be standing firm when it comes to negotiations.
Unless Madrid give United a player in return or offer a world-record fee for a keeper, it looks like De Gea will be staying at Old Trafford.
We asked our Twitter followers whether they think De Gea will stay at United this summer:
@PeoplesPerson_ Yes. He's one of our best players, if not our best. Selling him now would be a massive blow to our already slim title hopes.

@PeoplesPerson_ I think he will stay. if we sell, hopefully it is a deal involving Bale

@PeoplesPerson_ He doesn't want to stay, let him go. That's the best thing for all parties involved.

@PeoplesPerson_ Think he'll be gone before the window closes.

@PeoplesPerson_ I want him gone. He's not doing any good to the club. Time to move on.

@PeoplesPerson_ I'm starting to care less and less about De Gea. Just need closure one way or the other.

Sergio Ramos had been on United’s radar if De Gea did go to Madrid but the defender signed a new contract at the Bernabeu earlier this month.
De Gea has been left out of United’s matchday squads so far this campaign, with Sergio Romero playing in his absence. While the speculation surrounding De Gea is affecting things on the pitch, it is good to see United play hardball with Madrid after losing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to them in the past.
