Sergio Romero – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Right now, that’s all you need to say about Manchester United’s back five, who have been in excellent form all season.
Matto Darmian – So impressive in every game. Long may that consistency continue.
Chris Smalling – We much prefer this new Mike Smalling to the old Chris.
Daley Blind – Surprised us all by how good he has been at centre-back.
Luke Shaw – Keep up the good form Luke.
Michael Carrick – Tougher to call the midfield positions. We’ve left Bastian Schweinsteiger on the bench in favour of Carrick. They’ll probably swap.
Morgan Schneiderlin – The only guaranteed starter in midfield.
Memphis Depay – Won the first leg for United, will he do the same again?
Juan Mata – No other right-winger.
Marouane Fellaini – He’ll start to give United a bigger option up front.
Wayne Rooney – Blowing cold air at the moment but Louis van Gaal will continue to show faith in him.
Predicted formation – 4-2-3-1. United are away from home in Europe in their Champions League qualifier with a two goal advantage. Is he really going to play expansive from the start? We don’t think so, but let’s hope we’re wrong.
