Ander Herrera believes Manchester United are improving every game and are moving in the right direction.
Man United have struggled to finish chances in their opening three games of the Premier League season and have only scored two goals in those contests.
Their 7-1 drubbing of Club Brugge over two legs in the Champions League has ensured United fans that there is progress being made, however.
Herrera, who scored against Brugge earlier this week, is confident that United are on the “right road”.
“I think we are on the right road. We are not giving too many chances away and are posing a threat in front of the goal of the opponent,” he said.
“This is the way we have to be. We have to improve, step by step, and now we look forward.”
While it is quite obvious that United need another striker to help the team score the requisite amount of goals needed in order to mount a Premier League challenge, they have plenty of attacking and creative quality to create chances.
Wayne Rooney‘s hat-trick against Brugge will have helped United fans’ belief in Louis van Gaal‘s process and with the likes on Memphis Depay, Herrera and Juan Mata creating chances, it will only be a matter of time before United return to their old attacking ways.
