Manchester United fans pleased with Champions League draw

by Tanveer Arayan

Manchester United will play PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg in the Champions League group stages after the teams were drawn together in Monaco on Thursday.

It was a favourable draw considering Man United avoided the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Louis van Gaal will be confident of getting his side through the group, although an away trip to Moscow could prove to be tricky.

United fans were generally pleased with the draw although they were wary that anything can happen in Europe’s elite competition:

Whatever happened in the draw, it was just good to see United back amongst the best teams in Europe once again.

Last season was a tough one without Champions League football and Old Trafford will be buzzing come the first group game of the campaign. How far United can get in the competition remains to be seen.
