Man United fans happy to see Tyler Blackett leave on loan

Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett has joined Scottish champions Celtic on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old broke into Man United’s team last year following their injury crisis in defence and he will now get the opportunity of playing regular first team football in the Scottish Premier League.

United supporters have often been split in their opinions of the centre-back and things were no different as they reacted to the news of his departure, albeit just for the remainder of the season.

The young Mancunian will still be hoping he has a future at his boyhood club when he returns next summer and going on loan can only help his chances.

It will be a great opportunity for Blackett, as he will also get to ply his trade in Europe with Celtic in the Europa League.

Regardless of some United fans feeling that the defender is not good enough to stay at Old Trafford, the club have chosen to send him on loan rather than sell him.

It could be the motivation Blackett needs to improve himself as a footballer and come back to Manchester next summer with a point to prove to those who have doubted him.
