Sergio Romero went through his first five games for Manchester United quite quietly but his performance against Swansea has exposed some major issues.
The Argentinian goalkeeper might have been able to reach Ayew’s header for Swansea’s equaliser but it was his positioning for Gomis’ winner which was poor.
He hesitated after coming off his line and instead of smothering the ball at Gomis’ feet, or staying on his line and challenging the striker to beat him, he was left in no mans land.
Gomis took advantage of that and slid a ball underneath the Argentinian which gave him no chance of getting down in time and that mistake ended up costing United the game.
Romero was poor for both goals. Adios De Gea, you will be missed.

Romero tested twice in the season, should have saved twice.

A Romero mistake has been waiting in the wings since he signed a Manchester United contract.

Lets hope Real Madrid aren't preparing a late bid as we fear for De Gea. Romero!!! #mufc

Fellaini on the bench had better positioning for that goal than Romero.

Romero is an absolute joke. Ticking time bomb waiting to go and now he's exploded.

Louis van Gaal said he was reserving his judgement on Romero until he felt he was tested properly in the Premier League.
After his performance against Swansea, it will be interesting to hear what van Gaal has to say about Romero now.
