Real Madrid are on the verge of signing David de Gea from Manchester United, so you’d expect their fans to be over the moon.
That’s clearly not the case. A poll released by Marca has reflected the dissatisfaction amongst Real Madrid supporters over losing Keylor Navas in the De Gea deal.
The Spaniard is set to join Madrid in a deal consisting of Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas moving to Old Trafford, as well as a cash instalment of £29m.
After months of ferocious hardball with Man United, Madrid have finally sealed their prime target of the summer with just over a day remaining.
However, despite landing one of the best goalkeepers in the world, the deal has left Madrid fans feeling disgruntled.
At the time of writing, 87.3% of those who voted in the poll (currently 24,755 fans) believed shelling out £29m, as well as losing their first choice keeper, is a subpar bit of business by Madrid.
Are there a worse set of fans in the world? Even when they are on the verge of completing the transfer their hearts desired, they aren’t happy.
Enjoy Madrid, Dave, and make sure you don’t do anything wrong or they will be smashing up your car after training.
