Earlier we brought you reports that Manchester United had agreed a deal with Real Madrid for David de Gea and that story has now developed further.
The latest from Gianluca Di Marzio is that Man United have agreed a double deal with Madrid which will see De Gea join them with Keylor Navas coming in the other direction.
Guillem Balague says the deal is worth €40m and will see Navas move to United as part of the agreement.
With only one year left on his contract with United, it represents a decent fee for De Gea but is it really a good deal for United?
No matter what way you look at it, De Gea joining Real Madrid is defeat for United. Madrid get their man and United are left to replace him with whoever they can, which looks like Navas.
He’s a good goalkeeper in his own right but nothing in comparison to De Gea who will go on to become the world’s best at one stage in his career.
