It looked as if Javier Hernandez might’ve gotten another chance at Manchester United following the departures of Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao. However, the Mexican’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen on Monday signalled the end of his five-year spell at the club.
The warning signs were there for Hernandez from the start. The decision to buy Falcao last summer all but confirmed Louis van Gaal‘s doubts in the 27-year-old.
Many fans had called for the reinstatement of Hernandez to the first-team upon his return from Real Madrid this season.
However, it was not to be. United fans were disappointed to see the Mexican go:
gutted hernandez has gone tbh

Hernandez certainly could have done a job as a squad player but it looks like he wants regular minutes on the pitch.
Hernandez always gave his all for the club and was proud to wear the United shirt. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
