Manchester United not expecting any more ‘high level’ transfer activity other than Anthony Martial – report

by Leo Nieboer

Manchester United are not expecting to make any more ‘high level’ transfer business this window other than the signing of Anthony Martial, according to MailOnline’s Mike Keegan.

Aside from the ongoing David De Gea saga and the imminent signing of Martial, Man United will not engage in any further activity for the remainder of this window, which closes at 6PM (GMT) today.

Bayern Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu and Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas have both been linked with deadline day moves to Old Trafford.

But according to Keegan, no more transfer business is expected to occur.

With Javier Hernandez, Adnan Januzaj and Anders Lindegaard all departing the club yesterday, United fans would have been hopeful of seeing more additions arriving at Old Trafford before the window shuts today.

As the goalkeeping issue remains unresolved and the strike force continues to look thin, United supporters may feel aggrieved to see no new reinforcements arrive before the end of this window. However, in what has been an absolutely bonkers 24 hours of transfer activity, nothing is set in stone just yet.
