Andreas Pereira: I love working with Louis van Gaal

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has spoken out regarding his manager Louis van Gaal.

The young Brazilian is enjoying life under the Dutchman and was rewarded a new contract last season, following his impressive performances for the Man United’s U21s.

Pereira was given a spot on United’s pre-season tour to America in the summer and he grasped the opportunity with both hands. The 19-year-old was one of the Reds standout performers on tour, putting in some eye-catching performances.

At a time when van Gaal is coming under increasing criticism from players both past and present, it is refreshing to see a young player sing the managers praises.

Pereira is yet to appear for United this season and he may find chances in the first team few and far between after the summer signings of Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial but it is evident that the winger is content with life at Old Trafford.

However, with United looking to compete for trophies in all four competitions, the commencement of the League Cup at the end of the month could see Pereira getting more opportunities to showcase his talents in the first-team.

His displays during pre-season proved his ability and with the Reds struggling for goals so far this season, he could find himself with a major part to play sooner rather than later.
