The ex-Manchester United manager walked along shaking the hands of the Scottish and German players briefly before pausing in front of Schweinsteiger for a good old fashioned chinwag.
Imagine what Schweinsteiger could have done under Sir Alex? The German powerhouse has made it very clear how United was the only other club he’d have considered leaving Bayern Munich for and what a partnership that could have been.
Schweinsteiger would have loved to play under Sir Alex and vice versa. Unfortunately, it never materialised until this summer and even then it came as a big surprise to United fans.

Schweinsteiger played the full 90 minutes for the first time this season during the international break in Germany’s first game and he is fit enough to start against Scotland, so is certainly making progress with his fitness.
