Adnan Januzaj enjoyed a perfect goalscoring debut for Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
Playing in a No.10 role behind the striker, the 20-year-old scored Dortmund’s second goal against St.Pauli after a wonderful drag-back gave him the space to fire home a shot which got a more than fortunate deflection off the defender.
It was only a friendly but Januzaj needs to do everything he can to force his way into Dortmund’s first-team, so this is the best possible way for him to do that.
Here’s what a few United and Dortmund fans had to say about the debut:

Nice bits of close control from Januzaj before the goal.Already looks at home.

United fans were concerned at Januzaj joining Dortmund on loan for the fact that there was no guarantee of any game time for him out in Germany but if he can get regular minutes, it will be a great loan move.
Performances like that from Januzaj are exactly what he needs to show to Dortmund’s coach Thomas Tuchel if he is to push himself into the starting XI, but it’s fantastic to see him adapting well to German football straight away even if it is only a friendly.
