Luke Shaw replicated his superb start to the season with Manchester United away on international duty this week.
In both of England’s games, Shaw was arguably man of the match and after winning over Man United fans in the early games of this campaign, he’s had the same effect with England’s supporters.
So much was said about Shaw in his first year. It was disappointing to say the least, especially after Man United paid so much for him, but instead of letting the failures of his debut campaign drag him down, Shaw has shown great maturity for a 20-year-old.
He took it upon himself to do a fitness regime during the summer and it is already paying dividends both for him and United. His energy levels have gone through the roof and he can seemingly run all day long on the left flank, much to the delight of Memphis Depay who is starting to build a great partnership with him.
It’s still very early doors for Shaw both with United and England but his great development over the last six months bodes very well for the future.
