Manchester United’s new signing Anthony Martial was all smiles on Thursday in Manchester ahead of what could be his debut this weekend against Liverpool.
The 19-year-old striker was signed right at the end of the transfer window by Louis van Gaal and there is a real buzz among fans about getting to see him in action.
This week, Martial has been very busy with the France national team as he made his debut against Portugal off the bench and followed that up with another cameo against Serbia.
Whether Louis van Gaal decides to throw him into the deep end against Liverpool is another matter altogether but he’s now arrived in Manchester to begin his career at the club.

Much has been said of Martial’s price and that’s been the focus of the media attention on the 19-year-old, rather than the fact he’s an exciting prospect.
Martial is going to have to learn to deal with that and I’m sure he’ll be expecting it right from his first appearance.
It’s going to be tough for Martial to break through and have the sort of impact you’d expect from a player of that price but van Gaal, United’s staff and the fans will be very patient with him and allow him the time he needs to succeed.
