Marouane Fellaini hailed the amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford yesterday for Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Liverpool.
Fellaini started the game as Man United’s No.9 following an injury to captain Wayne Rooney in training but the Belgian struggled to get into the game in the first half.
After the introduction of Anthony Martial, Fellaini dropped further back into midfield and got himself more involved.
One thing Fellaini did well was that he helped the Reds hold up the ball well in the final third and allowed the rest of United’s attacking options to get further forward.
Great atmosphere, great team spirit, great win 😊 pic.twitter.com/PYexs8j6tN

Since being suspended for the first three games of the Premier League season, Fellaini has been effective coming off the bench for Louis van Gaal, most notably scoring against Club Brugge at Old Trafford.
He will be hoping that the injury to Rooney gives him an extended run in the side. It is then up to him to grasp that opportunity but the rest of his teammates made life hard for him today, with poor service.
Fellaini adds a different dimension to United’s play with his aerial threat and he will want to use his unique talents to help the Reds towards silverware this season.
